Detroit City FC and Black Star will host a welcome party and reception for members of the Detroit community, including: hometown staff, players, influencers, parents, and coaches with food and drinks, music, and positive vibes to kickoff the Black Star weekend of events.

Community Pick-up
The Community Pick-up is a free competition for the soccer-obsessed adult 18+. It serves as a platform for local athletes to put their most creative moves on display, competing against other teams in Detroit to be crowned the Community Pick-up champion.

Black Star ID Showcase
A free, open tryout and scouting program that provides boys and girls ages
14-19 with the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of college coaches and professional teams from MLS, USL, and U.S. Soccer Federation.

TIME: 1pm-4:30pm (Check-in starts at 12:00 pm)

First - Touch Youth Clinic presented by Amazon
Our free, youth clinic provides one-of-kind access to the world’s most popular sport for boys and girls ages 5 – 13 with the goal of creating and strengthening a love of the game. Up to 150 youth participants will have a chance to learn and enhance their skills, agility, and technique from professional coaches and players.
