Allstate Next Wave National Showcase Makes History

The Allstate Next Wave National Showcase, presented in partnership with Black Star and Black Women's Player Collective, was the first national scouting event showcasing top-ranked Black female soccer players.
The first-ever Allstate Next Wave National Showcase has come to a close, and history was made in Texas. This showcase reminded us why Black Star exists: to inspire the next generation and leave a legacy worth following.
Over four days at Prairie View A&M University, 28 talented young Black female soccer players came together for the first national scouting event of its kind. Presented in partnership with Black Women's Player Collective, these athletes competed in front of college scouts and top-level coaches while surrounded by a community that understands their journey.
The showcase included intensive training sessions, multiple high-stakes games, a full professional media day, and even some karaoke. Players also learned from members of the Black Women's Player Collective, who shared invaluable advice about building a career in professional soccer and navigating the unique challenges faced in the sport and in life.
Moving the game forward
Coach Danesha Adams captured the significance: she wasn't afforded these opportunities during her playing days, but today she's proud to be part of history and help turn dreams into reality.
