In mid-June, Black Star visited Los Angeles and Atlanta for the second and third free-to-participate First Touch Youth Clinics of 2025. While every opportunity we get to visit Black communities is important, these two felt extra special, as they bookended Juneteenth—the federal holiday to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States.

You may recall last year's event in Los Angeles on Juneteenth where we partnered with the LA Galaxy. Although not directly on Juneteenth again this year, we were back with our friends at the Galaxy to host a First Touch Youth Clinic for over 100 players, exceeding our attendance goal. A big thank you to the LA Galaxy again for hosting!

We made our first-ever visit to Atlanta two days after Juneteenth to host a First Touch Youth Clinic and again exceeded our registration and attendance goals. We're really excited about what the future holds for Black Star in Atlanta—big thank you to our partners Soccer in the Streets and Atlanta United for helping make the event possible.

And as always, additional thanks to our partners Allstate, adidas, and King's Hawaiian for all they do in supporting the Black Star mission.
